About

Sarah

Sarah Tallman, Owner & Creative Director of Grove, New York started out in the floral industry at the age of fifteen, when she began working at a local Connecticut flower shop on weekends. She soon went on to help open Crystal Gardens, another floral store in Darien, where she worked throughout the remainder of her teenage years. After graduating from Rollins College, Sarah moved to Manhattan to pursue a corporate career, all the while continuing to design arrangements for various events (as well as decorating friends’ homes) throughout the years.

Sarah's passion for flowers continued as she climbed the corporate ladder in the beauty industry. She developed fragrance, makeup and skincare products for companies such as Estée Lauder, Prada and Ralph Lauren Fragrances. Her main focus was the actual development and marketing of the products from initial concept to the counter, providing input into many areas including sales, communications, and merchandising. Within the past five years, Sarah has worked on such successful launches as Prada Women, Polo Black and Romance Silver.

In September 2006, Sarah decided it was time to follow her life-long dream of owning her own lifestyle brand, which would incorporate flowers, fragrance and home décor and brought it to life in a uniquely executed shop called Grove, New York.
